We’re looking for a Manager of Accounts Payable responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable activities of the company, including developing and recommending policies, programs, plans and procedures; managing vendor and customer relations; and remaining current with Accounts Payable techniques to help the department function in a cost-effective and productive manner.
Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend three days working in the office and two days working remotely. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains the Accounts Payable department structure and processes to serve vendors and internal customers.
- Manages Accounts Payable staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance reviews.
- Maintains the integrity of the Accounts Payable sub-ledger by ensuring that staff complies with policies and procedures, working with Product Information Management to ensure master data is complete and accurate.
- Determines, implements and maintains procedures and policies relating to all aspects of Accounts Payable.
- Ensures compliance with and makes recommendations for Sarbanes-Oxley controls for the Accounts Payable area, reviewing and preparing schedules for financial statement and bank audits and Sarbanes Oxley controls.
- Leads in selection and implementation of programs and software used in the Accounts Pay-able area, recommending and leading SAP testing for changes / upgrades affecting Ac-counts Payable.
- Manages the Concur T&E system and the JP Morgan T&E and P Card programs.
- Manages the Accounts Payable month-end close process.
- Supports the year-end 1099 reporting process.
- Determines and reports on departmental metrics.
- Performs ad hoc analyses as requested.
- May be required to undertake additional responsibilities not listed above, to support the efficient operation of the department and organization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university with at least 7 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills - Excel and Word required
- Familiarity with large ERP accounting systems required – SAP preferred

Our salary range for this role is $83,000 - $99,640 including a full benefits package.
