We’re looking for an SAP Data Steward responsible for maintaining product and vendor SAP data, including but not limited to product cost and pricing information; product-related warehousing data; vendor master data; and product purchasing data. Additionally, this role provides cost and pricing impact analysis for Pricing and Sourcing and assists with annual cost reviews and quarterly audits. This individual works with closely with Product Sourcing, Product Management, Pricing and Product Operations departments to maintain consistent and accurate product data within SAP and enabling data integration with Product Information Management (PIM).
Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend three days working in the office and two days working remotely. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains complete Vendor Master set up in SAP Vendor Master for Core, Non-Core and Service Vendor requests from Product Management, Vendor Sourcing and Accounting. Researches and ensures no duplications exist in system.
- Performs detailed Cost and Price impact analysis for Vendor Cost Updates and submits to Vendor Sourcing and Product Management for review. Upon approval, updates Purchase Info records in SAP in a timely manner. Incorporates Pricing recommendations to Pricing Department for margin control.
- Performs Standard Costing of New items and re-costing of existing materials upon +/- 10% cost increases to upkeep the Standard Cost of materials. Performs audits on Standard Cost of Materials to identify and ensures no outliers exist for utmost accuracy of inventory reports.
- Creates, processes and verifies New Item Logs in Material Master, Vendor, Purchase Info record, and source list data for Core-Stock/Non-Stock as well as subsequent adds/changes in SAP.
- Performs Data Management of all mass data related change/update requests from Product Management, Sourcing, Purchasing and Warehouse.
- Requests, maintains and reports Self-certification data from Vendors for GSA subcontracting plan.
- Requests, maintains and reports Vendor liability certification for up to date conformance.
- Provides Ad-hoc reporting and basic analysis for vendor/product line reviews.
- Performs special analysis and reports for management as requested.
- May be required to undertake additional responsibilities not listed above, to support the efficient operation of the department and organization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of data management experience in the MRO field or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PC literacy including Excel, Word, Access, ad-hoc report writing, SAP
- Attention to detail and organizational aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally within an organization
Our salary range for this role is $52,300 - $62,780 including a full benefits package.
