We’re looking for an intermediate-level Sales Data Analyst responsible for transforming operational insights into action plans.  This role partners with our sales teams to provide the necessary reporting and support to address issues, identify opportunities, and support the implementation of operational strategies to grow revenue.

Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend three days working in the office and two days working remotely. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drives fact-based decision making through the compilation, analysis and interpretation of sales data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
  • Recommends courses of action and supports strategic business initiatives to meet organizational goals and objectives, based upon analytics and an understanding of the priorities of the business.
  • Supports operations to achieve targets through the evaluation and refinement of current processes, the identification of business trends, opportunities, and risks, the benchmarking of customer performance, and the implementation of best practices.
  • Serves as strategic business partner to operations teams, influencing business decisions by providing analytical insight to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Prepares and distributes periodic and ad hoc reports, analyzing and forecasting sales volume, revenue, and margin, tracking productivity and attainment, etc.
  • Designs and develops dashboards, partnering with leadership, to clearly communicate the state of the business through results, priorities, insights, actionable items and key takeaways to stakeholders.
  • Engages internal customers and external vendors to gather program metrics to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Identifies performance indicators and collaborates with program owners and team members to determine best courses of action and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Evaluates third-party data to determine best practices for company success.
  • Defines process and improvement opportunities regarding data collection and reporting.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, marketing, finance, computer science or similar quantitative degree, plus three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience with conducting queries, as well as applying statistical research methods and analytical mathematical concepts to solve problems
  • Strong technical abilities using a wide variety of analytical tools including, but not limited to, Excel, SQL, Power BI, and presentation software
  • Proactive self-starter, willing to take initiative, with the ability to work independently under little supervision
  • Effective time-management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize under tight deadlines with changing priorities
  • Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal skills that foster good, mutually respectful working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to write reports and communicate results concisely and effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience writing reports focused on the financial impacts of business initiatives is very helpful.
Our salary range for this role is $73,400 - $88,040 including a full benefits package.
